Speed Drill has invested heavily in Brokk remotely controlled demolition robots for the increased safety of our operatives and to eradicate hand arm vibration
Electrically powered and therefore perfect for use inside buildings, basements, and confined spaces, they are small enough to fit through single doorways, and able to climb up and down staircases.
The robot is operated via radio controls allowing the operator to be a safe distance away, thus avoiding any potential risk of injury.
These machines have been used successfully within the basement below the Houses of Parliament and on the main trading floor of Barclays Tower in Canary Wharf.
With the advent of paperless banking, they have become the tool of choice for the removal of now redundant bank vaults.
In areas where robot access is prohibited, we can utilise hand held splitters and crushers. These machines enable concrete structures to be dismantled without the generation of any noise, dust, or flying debris, and are therefore ideal for working in functioning hospitals.
These machines are powered hydraulically from a small petrol or electric power pack, allowing demolition to be carried out within occupied buildings, without disrupting business.
Concrete Cutting Division is the fastest and most precise technique for creating openings in vertical concrete structures, and is used to cut door and window openings through walls and floors.
A track supports a travelling sled and circular diamond steel blade. The track is then bolted to a concrete surface, such as a wall or other steep incline. As the sled travels backwards and forwards along the track powered by a hydraulic or electric motor, a cut is made as the blade makes a series of passes over the surface area. This cutting technique can be used to cut openings of up to 1005mm in depth.
Floor Sawing is used to cut any horizontal flat concrete surfaces, in any location. It is fast, efficient and often used when surface repairs need to be completed to a tight deadline.
A circular blade is mounted on a spindle and powered by a diesel or petrol engine. The operator walks behind the unit as it moves along a flat surface. The diamond blade is capable of cutting up to a maximum depth of 500mm.
